Sustainable Design

Architectural Fabric Solutions and our suppliers are dedicated to reducing adverse effects on the environment when creating one of our structures or buildings. At every point we minimize waste and run systems and processes which increase production efficiencies and reduce logistical issues where possible.

By using a PVC membrane as a solution, you have the assurance that it is fabricated in an environment that harnesses harmful emissions and recycles them to release fresh air into the outside environment. Also at the end of the fabrics life cycle, the PVC membrane range is fully recyclable and then re-used for other projects.

Our installation processes minimizes the disturbance on the local landscape and require very little disruption to the surrounding environment. The installation process is extremely quick compared to other more conventional building methods and products. Our materials and systems we use reduce the need for artificial lighting and air conditioning, hence reducing the overall carbon footprint on the environment. Finally providing protection over pools or water storage area's, significantly reduces evaporation and water loss and therefore reducing the pressure on the draining of precious water resources.

At the end of the facilities lifecycle the structures or buildings can either be relocated or fully recycled alleviating the need to store the waste elsewhere as landfill.

Infrastructure and Asset Management:

Installing one of our standard or customized tension membrane structures allows our clients the peace of mind in knowing that fabric buildings and structures have been used around the world for decades to cover sporting stadiums, multi-purpose venues and aquatic facilities and have stood the test of time. The fabric on the structure should last at least 20-30years at which point it can be replaced at a fraction of the cost and the client has a brand new feel to the building. Furthermore, our buildings are designed to be modular and re-locatable, so they can be extended upon at any stage or re-sold and relocated at the end of the lifecycle of the current location, offering our client far more than a fixed location asset.
